Combiners and splitters are essential tools in the pro audio industry. Combiners are used to combine two or more audio signals into one audio source. For example, you need to get the signal from two CD players into a mixer that only has one free channel. A splitter on the other hand takes a single audio signal and splits it for delivery to many different sources. For example, you have a DJ mixer with one stereo output, but you want to send that signal to multiple different amplifiers to power sound systems in adjacent rooms.
